Letters from a Hill Farm
Nan, I must tell you that your blog is very bad for me! Every time I check in - which is often as I enjoy your postings - I read what you have to say, frequently look up things you've mentioned (like writers, musicians, and so on), returned to then check on the other blogs since you've started listing what they are up to - and some of their headings are irresistible (one looked vaguely smutty but turned out it was about ewes). Everyone is just far too interesting!
It is slow in the library this afternoon and I am madly copying down recipes! The sugar cookies are a must as my husband dearly loves them - would you consider these "sturdy" enough for cookie cutters?
Susan, not sturdy enough. I do have a recipe for cut out cookies that I use at Christmastime.
Is it posted? I'll go through them again...I want to make the delicate ones for the husband who adores sugar cookies, but I need the sturdy ones for the nine year old who is heavy handed with the icing :)
Hey Susan, in case you come back to read this, it's Friday morning, and since I didn't post any cookies for Cookie Tuesday, I'll make the cut-out ones today, and put up the recipe later.
Now that I am a grandmother, it seems that I am often late in replying to your most-appreciated comments. But I read them as soon as they come in, and I will write as soon as I can. Please do come back and check. I love these blogging conversations. A little addendum - I've just spent quite a long time catching up with dear notes you left me months ago!! I do hope you can get back to read them. And I'm trying to be much more prompt now! Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
