1. From The Oldie magazine, Two Cures for Love - Selected Poems 1979-2006 by Wendy Cope. I love her poems and want to buy this collection.
2. I heard the author, Benjamin Mee, on the Diane Rehm show, talking about We Bought A Zoo: The Amazing True Story of a Young Family, a Broken Down Zoo, and the 200 Wild Animals That Changed Their Lives Forever, and wanted to read the book. You may visit the zoo, and learn more about the author and his story here.
Hi Nan,
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Spiral this week. The bedroom is cozy, even though our seasons are so subtle. And Jess, my old dog, enjoys the place of honor at the foot of the bed :)

Give me a poetry book anyday!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my finds!
Benjamin Mee's book made my list this week.
ReplyDeleteMy mother and I went many years ago to the zoo that Benjamin Mee bought, it's in a lovely setting on the edge of Dartmoor. I'd like to try to visit again - maybe next year. If I get there, I'll tell you all about it!
ReplyDeleteI left you a comment on September 8 regarding your audiobook list — today it appeared as a comment on my blog! I have no idea how it happened. I went to your blog to see if it had turned up there or not, but that list was gone.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted you to know that if you find it somewhere where it isn't supposed to be, I don't know what happened — or why it happened.
