These blueberries don't come from here
or here
We get them just down the road from a neighbor. He has many bushes, and calls us when there are blueberries available. Often, they are so newly picked that the sun's warmth is still in them. I've already eaten two bowls, and frozen a bag for a little taste of summer in the wintertime.
Beautiful, beautiful berries! A true sign of high summer.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely, Nan. To eat freshly picked fruit, still warm from the sun,I can almost taste them.
ReplyDeleteI love blueberries! I eat them almost year-round, paying a high price when they're not in season. They're just so good in yogurt and cereal. Mmmmm.
ReplyDeleteBlueberries are my favourite berry to pick. Yup!
ReplyDeleteThe day you posted this entry, we were up north picked literally a bucket of blueberries. We are eating lots but also freezing them for winter treats. I just love blueberries.

Beautiful picture- yummy! I just wrote about blueberries two weeks ago, http://tiny.cc/qZ9J8- made smoothies with the kids, and it was a big hit! Sure wish I could take them blueberry picking at the local orchard, but I couldn't make the hayride and walk being 37 weeks pregnant- next year, for sure!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing all of your beautiful pictures!
