Wordless Wednesday - harbinger of fall

  1. Somebody's been very busy! But the way the temperature is at night, you may already be using your fireplace or stove!

We're spotting the occasional red leaf at the edge of our wood. Not ready for that quite yet....

  3. Wow - look at your neatly stacked wood! I have to get my own wood delivery - the price keeps going up and up! There is nothing I enjoy more though than sitting with a glass of red wine by my fireplace on a cold night after a long day of work. I am jealous of your supply!

  4. I love the composition of this photo! The wood stack has a similar design as the flagstone patio.

  6. Oh my gosh! I love this photo. It means autumn is almost here and follows winter. It means the chilled days when you have to wrap up in a warm quilt are coming. It means hot chocolate or a bowl of hearty soup to warm the soul.

    To me.....it means joy!

  7. The most striking thing about this photo is how neatly the wood is stacked! It looks like someone took a giant saw and trimmed all the out-of-place sticks once it was piled! :) Great shot. I don't dread the colder weather at all, though I do hope we get a week or two of *truly* summery weather before fall sets in. Sigh......
