Cognac is a nice beverage as the days grow cool, and this is quite a spectacular cocktail. I use Courvoisier Cognac and Cointreau, neither one of which is cheap, but just as in cooking, I prefer to use good ingredients.
Sidecar
2 ounces cognac
1 ounce Cointreau
juice of one lemon
ice, if desired
Tom's Scotch on left; Sidecar on right
Ah yes, I be this warms the cockles and delights the taste buds.
ReplyDeleteNan,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture and the drinks sound divine.
The Goldhammer book you mentioned sounds like a must read for me.. on my list.
Yes my poor dog is having a hard time of it...
we still haven't figured out what to do about his high liver tests.
He's made it these two weeks though when we thought he wouldn't.

hadn't heard of a sidecar (other than the vehicular kind) before...clearly my education has been neglected!
