That looks like a very good book. What is it about?
How lovely to hear from you! I'll be writing a book report when I finish, but the basic story is told in letters about Guernsey, and its people during the German occupation and the year following the end of the war. It is warm, witty, literary, poignant, and very, very perfect. If you type the title into google's blog search you will find many reviews. I'm quite, quite sure you would like it.
I am looking forward to your opinion on this, Nan. I hope you love it as much as I did. I see that the US cover is not the same as ours in the UK. Shame, I think we got the better deal.
Nan, I think reading inside if the weather is rainy sounds like a good idea. I have put this book on my wish list. Enjoy!!
Glad to hear you are reading the Guernsey book. Wish we were having cool, rainy weather. However, we may be seeing Hurricane Ike next week. :-(
I'm reading this book right now!I love it and will blog on it soon.I'm a letter writer and love books! If I had written a book , it would belike this!Enjoy!Bonnie

I'm glad to read good reports on this book. It's currently in my shopping cart at Amazon, but I haven't ordered it as yet.
I look forward to your opinion of this story, I've read so many already. Haven't yet visited Guernsey, but have been to its neighbour island Jersey many times, where we toured the German bunkers and encampments, and heard many a fascinating tale of the occupation. So this book is obviously on my list, though when exactly I'll get round to reading it, heaven only knows.Enjoy!
I'll answer your comments as soon as I possibly can. Please do come back if you've asked a question. Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
