  1. Try it sometime with a half a cup of chopped pecans and a half a cup of raisins added, and with warm bourbon sauce poured over (not for the kiddies).

  2. I have a apple crisp recipe that includes nuts (see sidebar - fruit desserts) and a raisin bread pudding (which I haven't posted yet) so I could combine the two and come up with your great idea! I'd leave off the liquor though. I like a cocktail and I like a dessert but I sure don't like 'em in one place. :<)

  4. Don't you just love the apples this time of year?!!! YUM! They're my all time favorite fruit. I've been eating honeycrisps like there's no tomorrow, and just discovered they're about a dollar each at Jewel. Or Trader Joe's. Sigh...still, they're better than a candy bar (almost). I made stewed apples in cinnamon and butter tonight, to go with our pork tenderloin. Fall is so fabulous...

  7. Looks like a great recipe to try when I'm in the mood for something apple-ish but don't have time to make a pie crust!:)

  8. During our last trip to Maine, we were given by our friends a huge bread pudding, with cinnamon and apple, and the recipe too. It's so sweet it almost hurts the teeth, but delicious. I do believe I'll try this one- it looks sumptuous. Cinnamon and Autumn do go well together!
