Teaser Tuesdays/The Dogs of Riga

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

Grab your current read.
Open to a random page.
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page.
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!).
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Page 34 - The Dogs of Riga by Henning Mankell:

It had become more difficult to be a police officer. They were living at a time characterised by a sort of criminality that nobody had experienced before.

  5. I decided to skip Teaser Tuesday this week. I'm still reading the same book I was reading at the beginning of November! Too tired after work. 'Tis the season and we're busy at the bookstore. That's a good thing, though. I'll get back in my grove after the New Year. I hope! :)

Now that I am a grandmother, it seems that I am often late in replying to your most-appreciated comments. But I read them as soon as they come in, and I will write as soon as I can. Please do come back and check. I love these blogging conversations.
Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
