Today's cd/Hang On Little Tomato

Pink Martini/Hang On Little Tomato/2004

How could I not buy this cd? The band name and title are irresistible, as is the album cover. And the music is just as delightful and fun as the names suggest. If they are new to you, you may read more here.

I was so surprised to find them at radioblogclub.

The song playing is the title track.

"So I hold on to this advice
When change is hard and not so nice
If you listen to your heart the whole night through
Your sunny someday will come one day soon to you"

  1. Well, I'm off to iTunes, Nan. The Starbucks compilation CD "Santa Baby" included Little Drummer Boy by Pink Martini, and I just loved it!

  2. Wow, this Pink Martini stuff sounds great!! I am adding it to my wishlist right now!! I found your blog through the TBR challenge! Do you a list of books you are reading on your blog? I will look for them on the yahoo group site too. I loved Three Dog Life and put it on my best books of the year list. I like your blog a lot! Love the Tasha Tudor pictures and the daily CD picks! What a great idea! I will be back! Thanks!

  4. Back for a Hang on Little Tomato update. My daughter, who up until last Friday, worked at the same company as me, was having a particularly bad day--the stress of trying to bring things to a close at one job, the nervous contemplation of a whole new job to learn, along with life's usual little stresses. "Well," said I to her, "do I have a tune for you." I put my iPod into the speakers on her desk and dialed in Hang On Little Tomtato. She was giggling and laughing by the end of the song. Thanks, Nan. You made our day!
