Mrs Bale has a special guest

Mrs Bale is going to sit out this storm and let Jim Trott from The Vicar of Dibley talk. Is this going to be the big, big, big storm of 2009?? No, no, no, no, yes! At least it seems to be from all the weather reports I've heard. And what I see out the window is "little flakes, big snow." We've cancelled plans to have supper with our son and daughter and her boyfriend this evening. We'll sit and watch the dvds from Netflix or we'll sit and watch the snow if the power goes out (and it does so often in our neck of the woods). Stay, stay, stay tuned.

  1. Jim, you look a bit bemused by all this talk of snowstorm. We have had our storm the past two days. We are snowed in today. It doesn't take much in our neck of the woods but the 10inches or so that we received has put our little city on hold for the day.Keep Warm.

  2. My eldest calls the little one Jim Trott 'cos she just can't make up her mind. We love a bit of Dibley in our house. Hmm, hope your weather remains sane. I was once in New England in a January snow storm, cooold!

  4. "Stay, stay, stay tuned" you say?
"No, no, no, no, yes!" I say!
(Over here we've pulled out our Jeeves and Wooster DVD's to help us weather the storm.)
    :o)

  5. I must confess to envy!! It sounds perfectly wonderful to me. As long as it is snow and not ice, and as long as your power stays on!! Have fun! I would suggest The Secret of Roan Inish for the perfect movie!!

  6. Mibsy and Pamela, let's see I have a lot of our own dvds, and from Netflix I have Lovejoy season 3, Miss Pettigrew, my beloved Gilmour Girls season 4, and coming today - Brick, and This American Life. So, I should be fine unless that ol' power goes off. It is quite windy now so that could happen. If my kids aren't on the road, these storms are perfect for me.

  7. We're at the end of more snow, too, but the ice is starting to fall. We are not going anywhere either tonight. And no Netflix on hand!
