My blogging friends, whose blogs I love, I must apologize. My days appear most recently to flee before my eyes. My house is very full these days with friends and family; My gardens beckon quietly yet so insistently.
I don't think there's a need to apologize. A blog is so much better when there's living to report on. Go out and do it and write it up when you've got a down day. We'll be around...
Sprite, I think my apology is mostly for not getting to visit all the blogs on my sidebar which I do indeed love to read. You're a dear to say this. Thanks.
Life is always full and busy when one can be outdoors. We'll still be here when you have a free moment. I, too, have been too busy to visit my favorite blogs.
Sometimes I feel guilty at not visiting blogs and then I think - heavens above, that's not what blogging is about. It's about enjoying life. So take a break from visiting and enjoy yourself. We - or others - will always be there when you can visit!
Thanks, Island Sparrow, Les, June, and Scriptor S. - I really, really miss hearing what is going on in my blogging friends' worlds. I'm hoping time will open up a bit.
HI Nan: I am glad you posted your little poem. I have been wondering if perhaps you had been sick. I am very glad to hear that you are well, and I am sure, happy surrounded by family. You have been missed.
No apology necessary. It is just that time of year Nan. Too much to do and so little time. Just enjoy the summer, take lots of photos and you can entertain us all winter. :)
For heaven's sake, Nan! Of course you deserve to have a life outside blogland, and your family and your garden are all the better for it.
We who write blogs may have missed your visits, but we appreciate the need to back off from time to time and do other work. Like other bloggers (probably) I've noticed a dropoff in traffic--and I was pretty sure of the reason.
Looks like your other blogger/readers are voicing the same sentiments. Hail to summer, esp. today--the 4th of July!
I'll answer your comments as soon as I possibly can. Please do come back if you've asked a question. Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.

ReplyDeleteOh, gosh, Nan, don't worry! We'll all still be here when you get back -- though anxious to hear all about your summer fun.

Aww, Nan... No apologies needed! Enjoy your family, friends and garden. We aren't going anywhere.
ReplyDeleteJeanne, how very nice to hear from you.
ReplyDeleteJoAnn, thanks so much. I could literally spend a day at each blog on my sidebar. :<)

Mary Lois, thanks. I mostly feel badly for myself because I do so enjoy reading everyone's words! They enrich my life in so many ways.
