Poppies and Peonies - my favourites, but I am always amazed how large and blowsey the flowers are after being packed into such tight buds. I also love it when the little green cap sticks to the poppy for a bit. June truly is busting out all over!
I was so very pleased with that shot. I love poppies, too, but don't always have luck. One year 17 blossoms, another year none. We moved the plant and I have 5 buds, so am hopeful. That's a great way to describe them! Thanks for coming by, Peg.
Nan, my poppies have bloomed and all the petals fallen already. They were the same color as yours. I keep thinking I want some in other colors, but these are a happy, cheerful burst of orange in the garden. Very nice photo!
Thanks, Books Please and Aisling! I seem to be able to get good "macro" shots, but there are some I take over and over and can't get one good picture. For example, my hill of lupines. Try as I may, it looks like a blur. But I'll keep at it. :<) My poppies are late because we moved them from a sunny, warm spot to a more exposed, shadier place. I'm just hoping the five buds all open. There will surely be photos if they do!
I'll answer your comments as soon as I possibly can. Please do come back if you've asked a question. Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
