  2. That is so exciting!!! I learned about Pink Martini from your blog and I love them so!!! My friends love them too. Can't wait to get this album.

Speaking of your influence, I just got an album in the mail today from LaLa.com and you have done it again!!! Stacy Kent, Close Your Eyes! Just started listening to it as I read your post on my blog!!! What timing!!! Her voice is just sublime! I can already tell I will want more of her albums!

I love your blog, sometimes it is so good I can hardly stand to read it!! Does that make any sense???

I will try to get that long ago requested stamping tutorial on my blog...will start thinking of photographing a project in stages...however, lazy is my middle name...oh, and procrastination is my real last name!

Speaking of live music, tomorrow we are going to the House of Blues in Chicago to see one of my husband's favorite musicians, Ian Hunter.

    lots of love

  3. Nan,
I am so jealous. They are a favorite of mine.

Do enjoy them enough for the both of us!

  4. We've been playing this album every day at work! That's the only problem with hearing cds while working -- I tend to get very tired of them by the end of the month.

  5. Thanks for letting us know about the new PM cd - I didn't know they had a new one out. Yay! Sounds like I have found my soundtrack for this summer! Although it will be hard to take off Jack Johnson's In Between Dreams & Chris Isaak's Baja Sessions (my usual "summer night on the deck music).
You seem so knowledgable about different music - would you mind me asking if you have any Summery Hawaiian-type cds to recommend? Thanks!

  6. Thank you, Aisling. I love the purple and pink together. I'm going to try and change my header with what's in bloom.

Laura, I knew you'd be excited. And that's neat about Stacey Kent. And thank you for the compliment. It's such a simple little blog in the blog world, but I do enjoy doing it. Ian Hunter, was he in Mott The Hoople?? Or am I way off?:<)

    Kat, I'm so psyched!

Les, I would think the store would have their own "today's cd." That way it would be fresh for returning customers as well as the workers. And I love it when a store has it on the counter with a "what's playing" sign. I'm always asking what music is on, and quite often the employees don't have a clue.

Alison, I don't really know that much. It's amazing how much is out there, and it's hard to keep up. But I do have a couple summery-outdoor-evening cds. They both came from Pottery Barn. One was a couple years ago, so they probably don't still sell it in the store, but maybe online? It is called Mojito Mix. And this year I bought a new one called Summer Sizzle. I think both are just what you're looking for.

Thanks to each of you for stopping by to comment. I so enjoyed reading them.
