Letters from a Hill Farm
Nan - I was struggling to find the right music for this first day of the summer solstice. You got it perfect!Dang! No one ever sounded like Joplin....- Jeff
I'm so happy you like it, Jeff. She really was one of a kind. I still feel sad she died. I think she would have gone on and on, maybe like Rosemary Clooney - different voice, but still wonderful. I am constantly struck by how very young she really was.
Janice looks so young here. There was no one that could sing it like she did. Happy Summer Solstice. I feel like screaming like this when it is so darned hot. UGH...
Lisa, you are SO funny!
Happy Summer Solstice!Enjoy many peaceful summer days,Joanne
Nan - I *love* the new picture
Thank you, Joanne, and the same to you. And thank you, Hannah! I couldn't resist those fresh veggies from the garden.
Now that I am a grandmother, it seems that I am often late in replying to your most-appreciated comments. But I read them as soon as they come in, and I will write as soon as I can. Please do come back and check. I love these blogging conversations. A little addendum - I've just spent quite a long time catching up with dear notes you left me months ago!! I do hope you can get back to read them. And I'm trying to be much more prompt now! Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
