I used this saying on my CelebrateTheSeasons blog. Isn't it just wonderful! Ilove this photo. Is it the view from your garden? And that photo at the header is amazing with the sheep and fog. Is this also taken at your house?
Nan, when I first saw this entry I thought-oh, there's one of those black & white pictures that Nan likes. Elizabeth Lawrence has such a gentle face. After reading her quote I had to Google her name. Is she the same Elizabeth Lawrence that wrote about gardening? I went to this web site and went on the tour of the garden http://www.elizabethlawrence.org/index.html There's a wonderful picture of her at her garden gate. You've introduced me to such interesting people, books, and films.
She is indeed, Catherine Mary. And I believe she was a gentle spirit. Thanks for the website. It's wonderful, and I'll be spending some time looking around. Doesn't her house just look so perfectly sited there, as if it is a part of the grounds? I love that. And thank you for what you said. That pleases me so much.
I am changing how I post your much appreciated comments. Since I began the blog, I've waited to post them until I had the opportunity to respond. Sometimes that's taken a while, so I've decided to moderate them and post them as soon as possible, and then I'll respond when I get a chance. Also, you may comment on any posts, no matter how old, and I will receive notice.

ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying autumn each day!
Great minds, Heidi! I'm quite sure this isn't the first time you and I have independently used the same quotes.
ReplyDeleteYes, both pictures are at our place. Thank you so much for your kind words.
