I think you may know that my daughter Margaret is a massage therapist. Her job is at a big hotel, but she occasionally has clients at her house in a specially set up massage room. Her dog Lexi is off in the woods, with their housemate and his dog, but Piglet the Pug can't keep up with them. She can't stay down at Margaret's house because she will just scratch at the door of the room. So, I spent a couple hours today Piglet sitting. I put Sadie in the laundry room, and Raya in a room upstairs.
We went outdoors a couple times,
but Piggie isn't really the outdoor type.
Mostly, she sat on my lap and we watched episodes of the first season of Crossing Jordan which has finally come on Netflix Instant.
What a cutie pie! For some reason I didn't know or forgot that Margaret was an LMT. I think that's awesome. I've been thinking about 'what I want to be when I grow up'...I think something in the health care/well being field (but nothing involving blood). Hmm, maybe this is a sign...
ReplyDeleteThat would be an excellent career for you! There's an excellent school in my state if you want to move east. :<) It is a perfect job because you only make people feel good!
DeleteWhy did you have to make sure Sadie and Raya were in different rooms? Don't they get along with each other and/or with Piglet?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, it sounds like you did spend a rather cozy afernoon with her, and I am sure Margaret was grateful for the chance of working without having to worry about the dog.
Sadie because Piglet weighs a little over 10 pounds and Sadie weighs 130! Even if S would like her, which she might not, she could overwhelm her with her size.
DeleteRaya because a cat could accidentally hurt a Pug's eyes which stick out from her face.
That last picture...oh my, I am still laughing!
ReplyDeleteThat face! Looks as if the dog is saying, you have got to be kidding me, is this the best TV you got?
Very, very funny! I had to take the pic on an angle because of the way she was sitting, and so the whole thing is kinda artsy. :<)
DeleteThose eyes... how can one resist the look in those eyes.
ReplyDeleteI think the word adorable was invented for Pugs. Their only 'job' is to love and be loved, and they mostly want to sit on your lap or your pillow. :<)
DeletePiglet sounds like my kind of dog...we have what I refer to as a "couch beagle." The perfect companion if you want to curl up with a good book!
ReplyDeleteI considered reading but I couldn't hold the book with her on my lap. :<)
DeletePiglet is adorable. I would come out of retirement to do that job (grand-dog sitting)...
ReplyDeleteShe really is. And she has the sweetest disposition.
DeleteWhat a sweet dog! And what a nice mom to babysit. It looks like you both had a lovely afternoon. :)
ReplyDeleteShe is truly the sweetest girl. How we all love her. Good to see you!
DeleteSo happy u shared these -- so cute.
ReplyDeleteShe is the cutest!
DeletePiglet is lucky to have her Grandma nearby. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm the lucky one!
DeletePiglet - what a perfect name for a pug! I find it hard to imagine a dog who isn't the outdoor type, but it must be rather restful sometimes. Fortunately our girls are mostly happy to make the best of wherever they are, but there is something of a riot when it looks as though a walk might be an option.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! Margaret and Matt have one who will run in the woods for hours while Miss P. chooses to stay on the couch, thank you anyway!
DeleteShe sounds like a pretty typical pug. We have 3 pugs. Sam, Princess and Charlie. They are awesome lap dogs if you don't mind being covered in hair. Great to take a nap with. And oh so irresistible. Glad you are spending time together.
ReplyDeleteLove those names! They are such a sweet breed.
DeleteWe used to live next door to a pug named Toby and have called all pugs Toby ever since but I love the name Piglet. Nothing like a chubby little pug on your lap.
ReplyDeleteI love Toby, too.
DeleteOur daughter, Jenny, wants a pug! They are kinda cute, but I'm more the medium to large type dog owner. I do love the little guys name :)
ReplyDeletehave a wonderful day
Niki
I am a big dog fan, as well, but I would really like to someday get a Pug, after knowing Piglet. She is the sweetest, dearest girl, and just like a big dog, only smaller!
DeleteIsn't it just precious!
ReplyDeleteAdorable Piglet the Puglet. She looks so cute. She's obviously clever enough to know that spending time on your lap watching tv is the way to go. :)
ReplyDeleteShe sure is precious! A kindly, sweet-natured little one.
