So very true... My thoughts are with you. I'm sure that this day for you is always a tender one. I have one of those tender days coming up in early May.
It is so true isn't it. Loss of love leaves a huge hole. I am sorry for your loss.
These tender days (thank you, Robin) are so dear. The hole in our lives and in our hearts is never quite filled, but we do take such comfort in memories. I never look out on a snowy back yard without seeing two small children bundled against the cold and recall my last conversation with my Mom in 1984..."Are you sure they're warm enough?"
No matter how many years (or decades) have passed, I'm sure this date will always bring joyful memories and tearful sadness. Sending hugs and love to you, dear Nan.
Oh, Nan, she was absolutely lovely! I'm so sorry for your loss, sending you love and hugs.
Thank you all, kind women. Your words mean a great deal to me. I was hesitant about doing this blog entry but am glad I did. "Tender" is a good adjective. My heart is still tender and I still cry after all these years. Hardly a day has gone by that I haven't wanted to talk to my mother. Thanks, Rapunzel. I love that picture. I had to take a picture of the picture, so it isn't too clear, but I kind of like the way it came out. You would have loved the dress- just your style.Marcia, aren't you lucky to remember that last question. Caring to the very end as all good moms are.
I'll answer your comments as soon as I possibly can. Please do come back if you've asked a question. Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
