I've seen this and found it rather sad. It's also been edited a lot so we hear what the film maker wants us to. Needless to say, there are some wonderful theatrical memories from these Dames!
I hadn't heard about this! My favorite women! I'll tell my sister today that this is one we must see together as we've sat through so many of their movies together over the years. Thank you, Nan, for calling it to our attention.
Love all these actresses....Didn't really know Eileen Atkins until Doc Martin came along but now I love them all! Thank you for the heads up about this movie!
I absolutely love her in the Doc Martin role! I first heard of her when she and Jean Marsh were the co-creators of the original Upstairs, Downstairs, but haven't seen her in many roles. And you are so welcome!
I'll answer your comments as soon as I possibly can. Please do come back if you've asked a question. Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
Doesn't that look fun? Such beautiful women and they have given the world so much pleasure through their acting. Bet it's funny as well.
ReplyDeleteI will buy the DVD if there is no hope of seeing it on screen. My favorites are ... well, all of them!

ReplyDeleteI would expect there would be moments of sadness, as when any group of older people get together, but I hope there will be joy as well.
