Ha, I like this quote. I guess you could say I am a lot like this. I do get the travel bug from time to time though. We I retired (early) I was afraid that I would get bored. A friend said to me 'you will never be bored because you can just be.' I guess he was right.
I'm only ever bored in places like garages if the tv is on and I can't read. :<))) I am really very easily contented.
I like MY "nest", too.
Isn't it amazing when someone says words that describe what you feel?!
oh mydescribesthis one :)
Thought you'd like this!
I've done lots of travelling Nan and now I want to stay in my nest, like you :)
I have enjoyed my trips, but was always happy to come back home.
Great quote, Nan - and actually fits me to a tee.
I kinda thought so!
Oh yes...I'm a 'nester' too, who likes an occasional adventure! Adventures are fun, but they make me appreciate home when I return. The journeys in my mind are also less expensive (monetarily at least!).
That's for sure!! Right now my current book has me in Birmingham England!
My current book has me in space .... A book about Chris Hadfield! :)
I wish I dared to stay in my nest longer. I love it there and have to force myself to get up and walk or move sometimes. But I do it because I read too much health stuff. I want to know more about this lady and will go look her up as soon as I send this.
She is really quite amazing. I haven't read her work, but I've read about her. And I should def move more!!
This quote describes what I'm becoming! I'm learning how to sit still....I love this quote. I've read some of her poetry (not enough of it, by far) and she is quite an interesting writer. Thanks for this lovely quote, Nan. I really don't want to move much at all during this long winter we are having.
My whole life I've known too well how to sit still! :<) I must make myself move around. I'll look into her poetry. I have seen some of her essays.
I'll answer your comments as soon as I possibly can. Please do come back if you've asked a question. Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
