Don't know yet. I don't begin listening to Christmas music till December. :<) But really, how could it be bad, if you like her work, which I really do.
I have been wonder about the Rod Stewart album, so I will be looking forward to your thoughts on it. I've always like him and really love his American Songbook albums. I just love Christmas music.
Enjoyed the Leonard Cohen and looking forward to hearing some Christmas music. I may have to look into that Rita Coolidge. I loved her voice. I'm already happily immersed in Christmas!!
Looks like you have a good selection there and will be busy listening to your music come December (in two days!). I have only purchased three this year -- This is Christmas by Katherine Jenkins, a reissue of two Christmas albums that Percy Faith did during the 1950s on two CDs, and Come Darkness, Come Light by Mary Chapin Carpenter. That one is really special. I'm enjoying all three of them, among others. (No, I don't wait until December to listen to Christmas music -- I've been listening to it for a couple of weeks now!) But all three are nice additions to my Christmas music collection. Happy Listening!
After your excellent Weezer recommendation last year, I am paying very close attention to this post. I picked up the Holidays Rule yesterday and am liking it so far. It's funny, I saw the CD at Starbucks and picked it up, but didn't remember why I noticed it. The next day I bought it and realized I'd seen it here. It has O Come, O Come, Emmanuel, which is my husband's favorite advent songs. It is only sung in the 4 weeks before Christmas in church.
I'll answer your comments as soon as I possibly can. Please do come back if you've asked a question. Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
How's the Cobie album? I couldn't decide whether to buy it or not based on the samples.

ReplyDeleteI love his music, since way back when he sang with Jeff Beck.
DeleteAnd I love Christmas music, too!
I'm thinking of getting the Lady Antebellum one for my oldest daughter, Megan for Christmas. She loves them!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it is great!
DeleteWow! you are ready for the holidays. One of my favorites is Songs of Angels: Christmas hymns and carols by the Robert Shaw Chamber singers.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love Christmas music?!!
DeleteA wonderful assortment to delve into, Nan. I usually don't start listening until December either, but, for some reason I've been humming already.
ReplyDeleteIt may be because Thanksgiving was so early this year!

ReplyDeleteAm so pleased you liked the LC song, and I also love Rita C's voice.

ReplyDeleteOh, good old Percy Faith. I haven't thought about him in a long time!

I'm really happy you liked Weezer. I'm so fond of that band.
DeleteI love that hymn too. Haven't played the album yet.
