Love this quote. Around here, folks get so excited when a little bit of green shows up. They start thinking they can plant gardens and flowers and then......it snows or the temps plummet. One must wait until end of May and not be fooled by April's green start.
Same here, Jody! In fact I just read that it is better to wait until the soil is warmer, even with peas. You may have seen a note I wrote last year about thinking Memorial Day 'weekend' was late enough, and realizing after a frost that I needed to stay with the original Memorial Day as the last frost date- the way it has always been. :<)
