Giveaway for blog anniversary on the 22nd

I began writing Letters from a Hill Farm on November 22, 2006. Here is my first posting. To celebrate the sixth anniversary of that day, I am offering a giveaway - The Old Farmer's Almanac 2013 Engagement Calendar. There is plenty of room to write, and there are fun facts on each day, in the form of quotes, moon phases, and garden lore. I find it most enjoyable and have used one for several years.

You may leave a comment saying you would like to be entered on any post between now and the 21st. I will do the drawing on the 22nd, and will send it anywhere in the world.

PS, I won't be responding to your comments about this, unless you ask a question.

  4. I can't believe it's been 6 years for you! Wow! But, you know, it's been 14 or 15 years that we've been talking in various ways. Can you believe that? I loved that first post you wrote. :-)

  10. No need to include me in the contest. I believe I'll have another calendar coming my way... ;)

Just curious about the plaque next to the sign on your barn. Is it from the Carruth studio? I love their stuff!!

    1. A woman gave us that little sheep hanging as a gift after we took in her sheep that she could no longer keep. It isn't any particular studio that I know of. I'll email you a closeup.

    2. Wow! I am WAY impressed that you knew where it came from. It has hung there for gosh, maybe 20 years. Thanks for letting me know. That's neat. And I love what the person said about it. We've always been very fond of those sheepies.

  11. Gee, that calendar would be neat to win on my birthday on Nov 22, which is Thanksgiving Day in the USA this year. It was Thanksgiving the day I was born too.

Enjoy reading your blog. Hope you continue writing many more years!

  13. I didn't know that we started blogging in the same year! But I do know that over the past six years you've sent me lots of good music, advice and comfort about the ways of my son. So glad Lesley "introduced" us! xo

  14. Congratulations Nan. I've just read your first post and agree that November is the month where the landscape opens up. Just now I'm beginning to see the field behind our house as the leaves fall - such a change in view.

I love your blog and always read it, although I don't often comment. No need to include me in the draw - I usually get a few calendars at Christmas :)

  17. Six years - that is incredible. Hearty congratulations to you. I think I have enjoyed reading Letters from a Hill Farm for almost as long as you have been writing it. I have always enjoyed your book reports, meeting your family, trying some of the recipes, seeing the pictures, especially of your animals and farm, and all the other bits of information you include here.

And, yes, count me in - I would love to win a copy of The Old Farmer's Almanac. Thank you.
