Big fan of John Muir! Are those canned tomatoes any good? M Funny thing, they say tinned tomatoes in England. Richard still says tins of soup, tomatoes, etc. And of course, John Muir was from Scotland!
John Muir is a hero of mine! And my oldest daughter and her family were just on a two week vacation which included Yosemite. She recommended going to Hetch Hetchy which is part of Yosemite but has so few visitors that they almost felt alone in the wilderness....I sometimes buy those Muir Glen tomatoes at our nearby Mustard Seed Market.

I have had those canned tomatoes before! Lovely. And what an interesting person John Muir was!

I use them for tomato sauce. I run them through the food mill. They make excellent sauce.
DeleteFunny thinking that John Muir would be into canned tomatoes. He was an interesting fellow.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wit you have!
