Today's picture/4.39 pm
On our way walking down (and looking back to our house) to bring cake and present to Margaret for the 36th Margaret's Day. It was the 19th, but Hazel had gotten up early and was tired so we waited till today. Margaret's Day is the day that our Margaret flew on a plane at one day under four months old to become our daughter.

36 years! Amazing! And the lights on your house through the snowy branches look amazing, too. This could be a Christmas card (or a set for a commercial). So, so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteWhat a wonderful day to celebrate! I am also adopted, born at the end of January and adopted 13months later, in March.
ReplyDeleteHooray for adoption! We adopted our son three years later. I wrote about their days: https://lettersfromahillfarm.blogspot.com/2008/11/november-19-1982.html

Beautiful picture, Nan. And I adore the idea of 'Margaret's Day'.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cath. Her friends used to be jealous when she was little because she had two birthdays!
DeleteWhat a joyous day to celebrate. This picture reminds me of the song "Over the river and through the woods to Grandmothers house we go..." There will be lots of coming and going the next few days. This post shows how much we all have to be thankful for.
ReplyDeleteWe are actually going to Estée's parents house, and it is indeed over a river and through woods, and she is a grandmother to Campbell and Indy!
DeleteWhat a lovely picture, Nan! Very sweet and homey - the lights burning to welcome you home when you walk back. Happy Margaret's Day to your sweet girl!
ReplyDeleteJust a quick, Happy Thanksgiving wish to you and your family Nan. We'll be busy tomorrow but didn't want to miss a chance to send our wished.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!! Hope you will be with those little dearies!!
DeleteA wonderful picture, going perfectly with wonderful words.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Nan!

I'm happy you like the snow pictures! There will likely be a lot more coming. haha.
