Nan, I feel like lying down on the fallen leaves and looking up at the sky. I also loved your pictures of the little chipmunk and the beauty of Windy Poplars Farm. Thanks for sharing these.
Your leaves are so pretty. It is that time of year. We are having what the weather people say is the last day of almost record high temps for this time of year, once again in the 80's. I am looking forward to a normal fall with leaves changing colors and collecting in the garden.
They are just beginning to fall here - and I am already thinking of turning them into compost and mulch. The autumn color is coming a little late but it is beautiful.
Beautiful photos; the header picture is breathtaking. We have coastal redwoods, spruce and hemlock here. The big leaf maples provide some color, but nothing to match your part of the country. Enjoy!
There aren't as many on the ground here yet, but it is only a matter of days, I suppose. I love walking in the park or woods when the ground is covered in leaves - and that scent!
The Ash and the Beech that I can see from my window are still all green, here in the UK. The Virginia Creeper, scarlet along my fence. A gentle autumn. xx
We aren't getting the glorious leave changing colors where I am, this is absolutely gorgeous. I like seeing photos of your area. You live in a peaceful and pretty environment .
I really couldn't live anywhere else, and it pleases me to see so many young people in my area feel the same way. They love their mountains and their autumns.
I'll answer your comments as soon as I possibly can. Please do come back if you've asked a question. Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
