Mrs Bale asks, "what else can one do?"

Tom's been keeping track of our rain, and in the past week we've gotten 3.9 inches!

Am I out singing and dancing in it? Nope. I'm sitting in a chair reading.

  1. Seems a very sensible thing to do. :))))Both you and Mrs. Bale, very sensible.
(do you have a motor bike with a side car too??) :))))

    1. Wouldn't that be fun, if I did! I can make a mean cocktail, though.

  2. Lovely to see Mrs. Bale again. Your chair looks, as the smallest little bear said "just right".

    1. She always makes me smile. And that chair is the best I've ever sat in. The magic lazy boy.

  3. Nan, after much rain
    everything here surrounding my cottage
    is thriving.
    I need to rest more
    and this morning
finished the 10 quarts of strawberries for freezer,
made a strawberry pie and salmon croquetts for my weekend meals
and work outside all day in the garden
I am ready for a bath and bed.
    Need to sit and read...

  4. We've had a miserable weather week -- hot/humid and then rain most of the week. Today 40's and more rain...UGH

    1. Ah, yes, I vaguely remember that hot and humid weather - just a few days ago.

  5. Same here, Nan; way too cold for the season and too much rain. Did go on a nice long walk yesterday, but today is going to be spent mostly reading, playing The Sims and maybe blogging.

  6. Every rain cloud holds a silver (reading excuse) lining! It's nice to see Mrs Bale is still advising you.

  7. Saturday was perfect for reading indoors here, too ... so cold, windy, and rainy! Friday we actually had snow. I don't ever remember it snowing so late in the season. Even stranger since the air conditioner was on earlier in the week.

  8. Was going to comment on all three of Mrs Bales' reports at once... on the latest one .. but just had to say here that I love your reading chair. (that's certainly where I'd be!)
