I am changing how I post your much appreciated comments. Since I began the blog, I've waited to post them until I had the opportunity to respond. Sometimes that's taken a while, so I've decided to moderate them and post them as soon as possible, and then I'll respond when I get a chance.
Also, you may comment on any posts, no matter how old, and I will receive notice.

This book broke my heart...
ReplyDeleteGee, maybe I oughtta quit now. :<)
DeleteWhat a beginning! Who could stop after reading that? Are you enjoying the book?
ReplyDeleteIt is well written with an interesting point of view, so far.
DeleteI read a few reviews for this and it sounds interesting. My first thought was that it was nonfiction, but I see it's an best-selling novel in Korea. How are you liking the second person POV? Is it confusing?
ReplyDeleteIt is an unusual way of writing, but in a way it shows the detachment the daughter/other kids have from their mother. I keep wondering where are the police?? Of course, I am particularly interested in the information about South Korea.
DeleteThat definitely hooked me -- this goes on my Library list. This is a great idea for a meme. Gives me the same lovely feeling that browsing the new acquisition books at the library does -- choosing the interesting titles, reading a bit of thefirst page and stacking up all the books that sound interesting -- and then narrowing it down to what will fit in the bag!
