A different and funny take on Valentine's Day

I have the Roz Chast engagement calendar, and I just had to share her Valentine's Day entry with you.

  1. Ah - for 45 years here, two secret admirers of ours always get the cards to the house before the postman......!

PS. Nan, because of you I got myself a Gladys Taber. Country Chronicle, pub. 1974 which I got from the US. I know why you like her so much now I am reading her. This one is divided into Seasons, and I promised myself I would read only the season I was in at the time. It arrived just before Christmas and I read "Winter" and have been champing at the bit to do "Spring" ever since!! Thank you for letting me find out about her.

  3. I do like that. Sounds like a great calendar. My husband and I ignore Valentine's Day. We say "Everyday is Valentine's Day." (We did not always do that but after 40 years...)

  4. Love it - and your cozy, warm stove.
We don't do much for Valentine's Day. We have, on several occasions. given each other the exact same card.

  5. We don't "do" Valentine's Day, either. But at the end of this month is the anniversary of our first date, and we'll probably make this a special occasion. Only problem is that it is a week night and we live 150 km apart.
