Quote du jour/Hazel Nina

I made a scrambled egg for Hazel Nina. When she finished she said, "Oh, no, egg gone. Come back, come back."

Later on Pop read her this book, and she fell asleep.

  1. Sweet! And happy that you're blogging more - love your posts! I never made the plunge into FB and so far, no regrets. I do understand though about joining to see grandchildre's pics. That could lead me there someday.

    1. Thank you for saying that!! Yes, I would feel differently if my kids lived far away.

  2. So sweet. I have at least two girlfriends that tell me all the sweet/cute things that their grandchildren say. I have tried to encourage them to write them down. It would be such fun to look back on when they are teens and older.

    1. I meant to write down what my kids said, and I mean to write down what my grandkids say but the days go by so fast and the changes happen so fast and one cute thing comes right after the other. Hopeless for me. :<))

  3. She is adorable and getting so big! I, too, am struggling with the Facebook thing - and returning to the blogosphere, after a long vacation. So good to see you are still here!

    1. I am so happy to see you!! And that you've begun blogging again! I added your blog, and the someday cooking one to my list. I was amazed to read that you posted about Fb, too. I share all the concerns you wrote about. Amazing after all this time, we are on the same wavelength. Thanks for coming by. And thanks for your words about Hazel.

  5. I love that quote from her about the egg! I felt that way about a jacket potato that I had in London the last time I was there!

    1. Love it! I eat a lot of 'jacket' potatoes, and not just one at a time. My favorite food is potatoes!

    1. I am so thankful every single day. I don't think I could bear your friend's situation. I'd get apartments in all those places!

  7. It is those little things that you will remember about your first grandmother experience -- even as long as 30 years or so from now ;>). She is just adorable!!

  8. What a lovely (and lucky) child. I realised, when I read what she said, that I always read your sayings in an English voice when you must sound quite different. It made me smile, I don't think it will change my American isn't quite right!

    1. I expect Hazel to have a British accent since she watches so many English children's programs!
