He came into town with his mandolin
Calling all the people and they came to him
He said I want to hear all that's pretty
He said I want to hear all that's nice
They laughed at him with his mandolin
They left him there with his funny grin
He said I want to hear all that's pretty
He said I want to hear all that's nice
The children of the town then came to him
Magically called with his mandolin
He said I want to hear all that's pretty
He said I want to hear all that's nice
They smiled at him with his mandolin
Their eyes like his were sparkling
He said I want to hear all that's pretty
He said I want to hear all that's nice
I so agree. Such a horrible week. Even on the corner from where I work there were three wrecks within an hour, a bad storm blew through. Geez. It is time we get a break.
ReplyDeleteThat's so horrible about the accidents.
DeleteThanks for posting this today. I have some Donovan and others on my IPod for the same calming reasons. I feel like I have been in a tailspin since our loss at Newtown and then knowing a friend and her family were at the finish line waiting for her daughter 0 luckily they were all fine.
ReplyDeleteI am so old-fashioned when it comes to music. My music is on cds (and vinyl - plan to do a post sometime). I do love Donovan, and if you are a fan, there's a great dvd he put out.

I'm glad your friends were fine. Scary, scary times.
I very much needed this soothing song. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteIsn't he just the best. And that album is full of joy and love.
DeleteThanks to your comment on my Mum's latest guest post I realized that you have been back to the blogging world for a while already. As you had written a good-bye-post in December, I had not expected to find any new posts anymore on here, and therefore cancelled my following your blog when I did a sort of spring cleaning with my reading list. Now I am very happy to see you are back, and have just activated the following by email (I can't seem to find a "normal" follow button, like it used to be).
ReplyDeleteI should have let you know. I just came back quietly - slipped in the blogging door, so to speak. :<)
