Letters from a Hill Farm
Wonderful way to start the day... Born to sing... Have a great weekend.
Van the Man! Hope your weekend offers nice weather.
Tom and I were listening to some "old" Van recently, and Tom just uttered the word, "genius." He went on to say, "When I hear this guy, I just think, 'genius'." So it was kind of kizmet for me to read your words above... another Nan, another Tom, another Van in time and place... arriving at the very same conclusion :)
Shhhh! Just ordered Born to Sing: No Plan B for my Tom for his birthday next week. He will be so pleased - (and I will be too!)
I love it! So great. (I'm surprised none of our birthdays match ;<) )
Listening to VM all my life and never really knew what he looked like - just a voice from everywhere. Love this song title.
Isn't that something. I love your phrase 'a voice from everywhere.'
Born to sing, I love it by the title alone.
And the 'no plan B.' love that.
Oh, Nan! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I didn't know he had a new album out. I love this song and Van-the-Man! He is a music god. I'll get his album tomorrow at work. Yay!!
I thought you'd be interested my fellow Van fan.
Nan, there's no argument about this one. We are of one mind! Sometimes when I'm in the Oxfam book shop, if there is one of his LPs or CDs in the music section, I can play him, over and over again... not sure my fellow volunteers approve though!
I'm laughing. I have more of his music than anyone else.
Now that I am a grandmother, it seems that I am often late in replying to your most-appreciated comments. But I read them as soon as they come in, and I will write as soon as I can. Please do come back and check. I love these blogging conversations. A little addendum - I've just spent quite a long time catching up with dear notes you left me months ago!! I do hope you can get back to read them. And I'm trying to be much more prompt now! Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
