  1. Nan, you are so clever finding all these wonderful pieces of music, isn't the video moving too? Love it.

  2. Carole, this was popular while my kids were growing up, and we all went to see her at Lilith Fair in 1998. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lilith_Fair

  3. Fabulous video! I love all the faces...some so wise-looking...and the children so beautiful.

I loved NM when she was in 10,000 Maniacs (Trouble Me) and later when she went solo. My Beloved Wife is one of the most tender songs...

Merchant performed at the Borders I was working in when I lived in TX in the late '90s.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Off to pull her cd off my shelf...

Oh! And I love the kitty photo! Great lighting.

  6. Oh, Nan, isn't she just the best. When we went to Lilith Fair in 1998, someone else was playing, and suddenly there was NM dancing onto the stage.

  7. I love this! It brought tears to my eyes to see such a rich mix of beautiful, joyous women. Very timely after my recent blog series on being fat. I'll be reposting this and of course will give credit to you (And Natalie!). I've always been a big fan of hers.m
