How do these mayflowers know it is the first of May??
We know them as Quaker Ladies here in Pennsylvania. Or Bluets. They are such pretty little flowers by any name. Mary
I love the names. Isn't it wonderful to have such different names for the same thing. Eudora Welty has a story with a little girl named Bluet!
Beautiful!
They really are!
They're beautiful whatever they are called! I remember reading a Eudora Welty story with a girl named Bluet :)
I mentioned the Eudora story to Mary (anonymous) above! "Let Bluet drive"
These are lovely, Nan. It looks like they don't grow in California.
That is so interesting. I am always interested in what grows where.
I always think of Matthew who brought Anne mayflowers every year. And then Gilbert continued the tradition, after.
