Dean Street Press - free Kindle books

I have mentioned the wonderful Dean Street Press before, but I don't think I told you that they offer a "free Kindle e-book of the week". Isn't that the most marvelous thing!

You may go here to see what is offered each week. I am delighted to have just gotten the 2016 biography of Noel Coward!

Addendum: I read about 120 pages, and while it was pleasant enough, I must say I got a little bored and quit.

  1. I buy many Furrowed Middlebrow books and adore D.E. Stevenson and others. I will check back to see the free Kindle offers at Dean Street, thanks for the tip.

    1. Isn't FM just the best! I remember shelves of DES in my library, but I suspect they are gone now, replaced by the new books. I am just so thankful that these old books are back in the limelight.

  2. I read and reviewed that one in September, here: https://read-warbler.blogspot.com/2021/09/two-short-reviews.html You might want to wait until you've read the book before you look at my review, although it's not a long one with a lot of spoilers. I thought it was wonderful to get such a good book 'free'!

    1. I was positive I left a comment there. I remember talking about NC as a character in Goodnight Sweetheart, and about my David Lean boxed set with his movies. I even recall your comment back. But I went back and it was not there! Off in the internet clouds, I guess. Anyhow, you are how I knew about the book.
