Quote du jour/Campbell Walker

Our grandson Campbell Walker spent the night at his cousin, Hazel Nina's house for the very first time last night. The two of them showed up at our door this morning and I was in my nightgown. Campbell said, "You look like a young girl!" How many 72-year-olds hear those words first thing in the morning?!

    1. I am thankful every minute of every day. Pop took them up the hill on the wheeler and they picked blackberries!

    1. I sure do! I'll put up some pics Tom took while they were picking. They got a lot. It's a good year for them.

    1. Oh, yes! How wonderful that will be. We are in the process of setting up a room for all three of ours when they are some older.

  6. So sweet!! And how lovely for the two cousins to spend time with each other, and at their grandparents' place. When my sister and I were little girls, we often had one of our cousins stay with us for part of the summer holidays. My sister and I are a year apart, and our cousin was in the middle. I will never forget one year when my Mum sewed identical summer skirts for us (red fabric with tiny white flowers printed on it) and bought identical white t-shirts with a "lace" flower at the neckline for us - we so loved being dressed alike, "like twins", we said, even though there were three of us and physically, we looked nothing alike :-)

    1. I hope so. We see the boys as much as possible - they are an hour away, and Hazel many days of the week since she is right down our road.
