Quote du jour/Campbell Walker
Our grandson Campbell Walker spent the night at his cousin, Hazel Nina's house for the very first time last night. The two of them showed up at our door this morning and I was in my nightgown. Campbell said, "You look like a young girl!" How many 72-year-olds hear those words first thing in the morning?!

Out of the mouth of babes!
ReplyDeleteI would be smiling for a month! Sweet!
ReplyDeleteYes, ma'am!!
DeleteWhat a sweet thing to say! And how fun to have them come over for a morning visit. You are blessed!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful every minute of every day. Pop took them up the hill on the wheeler and they picked blackberries!
DeleteA memory to cherish!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely!!
DeleteHow precious! Bet you just love them to pieces and picking blackberries - those are memories they won't soon forget.
ReplyDeleteI sure do! I'll put up some pics Tom took while they were picking. They got a lot. It's a good year for them.
DeleteWhat a great way to start another day! Sounds like a sweet kid.
ReplyDeleteHe is a dear, dear boy.
DeleteHow precious is that? Looking forward to sleepovers here in our future.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes! How wonderful that will be. We are in the process of setting up a room for all three of ours when they are some older.
DeleteSo sweet!! And how lovely for the two cousins to spend time with each other, and at their grandparents' place. When my sister and I were little girls, we often had one of our cousins stay with us for part of the summer holidays. My sister and I are a year apart, and our cousin was in the middle. I will never forget one year when my Mum sewed identical summer skirts for us (red fabric with tiny white flowers printed on it) and bought identical white t-shirts with a "lace" flower at the neckline for us - we so loved being dressed alike, "like twins", we said, even though there were three of us and physically, we looked nothing alike :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is the most adorable story!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to tell me. Does she perhaps have a photo???
DeleteThere might be a photo somewhere at my parents', maybe she will let me have it.
DeleteOh, good!
DeleteHa ha, not me, for sure! What a sweet boy he must be.
ReplyDeleteMe, either! He is a sweetie!! As is his brother.
DeleteOut of the mouths of babes. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's the truth!!
DeleteWhat a sweet story! It is great that they get to spend time together and with you and Tom. These memories will strengthen them all their live.
ReplyDeleteI hope so. We see the boys as much as possible - they are an hour away, and Hazel many days of the week since she is right down our road.
DeleteAww...what a sweetheart! And what a lovely way to start your day!
ReplyDeleteHe sure is! And yes, it was!
