We don't get much mist at Windy Poplars Farm. We're on a windy hill, and the only water is a stream out past the telephone pole. I love mist and fog, and was so happy to see this tonight.
It can be lovely, but I just finished reading a mystery based on thisL https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laki#1783_eruption The Devil's Breath. I like these Thomas Silkstone mysteries. Apparently it was responsible for about 30,000 extra deaths in the UK that year.
Wow! That is so interesting. Tom was fascinated and told a friend who is also interested in weather. I don't know TS, but will look him up. Thanks for the information!
As you can imagine, we get quite a bit of fog on the coast and I love how dramatic it looks against the lush green hills. Your photo and header are so gorgeous, Nan.
I'll answer your comments as soon as I possibly can. Please do come back if you've asked a question. Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
Beautiful, Nan. I also absolutely adore your new header photo.
ReplyDeleteThis foggy mist makes a pretty picture. I love your header photo. So much color there.
ReplyDeleteVery atmospheric, Nan! Thanks for sharing it with us!
ReplyDeleteI love fog and mist. We occasionally have heavy fog between us and the mountains; don't know why? because there isn't any water anywhere near us.
ReplyDeleteIt is rare to see fog or mist here this time of year, but I love it, too.
ReplyDeleteThe photo is beautiful!
