Love the latest header, Nan. This has been the very best summer for Nepeta. Yours is so lush - and what a lovely spot for reading, relaxing, playing with those darling grandchildren.
Thank you! Yes, it has been a good summer for it. My catnip is also thriving! It has been fun with the kids in the living room. Their mums put down quilts and they have a great time.
Your home always looks so comfortable and inviting. I think my favorite spot would be stretched out on that couch with my head near the window. Pretty much where I read in my living room.
Is that catmint in your header? We used to have it, but it was so invasive, I finally pulled it all up.
Thank you! You noticed the new couch! We are no longer couchless. It was just in time for baby life. :<) Yes, it is catmint. It is the Walker's Low I wrote about here - http://lettersfromahillfarm.blogspot.com/2014/05/new-plants-with-family-name.html There is plenty of room for it where it is so I'm happy with it.
I'll answer your comments as soon as I possibly can. Please do come back if you've asked a question. Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
It looks very inviting. Love your header photo.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was just in the process of taking a new one when you wrote. :<)
DeleteWhat a lovely calm, relaxing haven. And beautiful photos of your new grandchildren to the side as well.
ReplyDeleteI do love my living room. It needs paint and a bit of window sill work, but I'm happy with the arrangement. Thank you about the baby pics!
DeleteA lovely and cozy nap on a summer's afternoon, so inviting.
ReplyDeleteSadie and Raya sure thought so!
DeleteVery warm, inviting, and comfortable looking room!

Looks like you have a lot of natural light - it's very lovely and inviting!
ReplyDeleteYes, there are three windows on the north, and the door is on the west. Thank you, and thanks for coming by.
DeleteSo cheerful and sunny. As someone who lives below ground, I can't tell you how envious I am.
ReplyDeleteDo you have some windows though? I've always kind of liked those below ground places. :<)
DeleteNan, your days seem full and rewarding. I loved that you shared so many specials pics with us.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm happy you like them.
