That's a lovely shrub rose Nan - It's that time of year isn't it? I have the rose Gertrude Jekyll in my garden and cut one bloom yesterday as it was laying down at the back of the bush and could not be seen and enjoyed there, so here it is now, inside in all it's glory! Enjoy yours Nan, I think perhaps it's not a repeat flowerer?
I'll answer your comments as soon as I possibly can. Please do come back if you've asked a question. Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
Ole Gert is a beauty.
ReplyDeleteThink anyone ever called her that, and lived to tell the tale? :<)
DeleteLovely:)
ReplyDeleteThis is when the William Baffin rose shines!
DeleteI'll bet it smells just as lovely as it looks.

ReplyDeleteIt is great, and the only rose besides rosa rugosa which will grow on this cool, windy hill. They do bloom just in June.
DeleteBeautiful! It's a shame you can not transmit scent with the pictures.
ReplyDeleteDid you see my post with pictures of roses in the park the other day?
I didn't, but I will. I've not read 'my' blogs as much as I'd like lately.
DeleteSO so beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThanks. They sure are.
