which really does smell of pineapple, and the bees slide right inside the groups of flowers so it must be high in honey-making content. It's so lovely to see them around, isn't it?
The sound of bees in a garden is so soothing, isn't it? Strange if you consider that they are so busy all the time, their humming should actually not make me drowsy but inspire me to get up and do stuff!
Watching the video made me dizzy, but I loved the honeysuckle. The lilac bushes in the header photo are lovely too. I was checking out your recipes, and looking at the baked spaghetti. Great idea, although I would love to figure out how to do it without boiling the spaghetti first, it always heats up the house so much.
Sorry it made you dizzy! I probably should have let it stay in one place instead of moving. Gosh, I've never noticed cooking heating up the house. Must be that we don't have that many really hot days!
Isn't honeysuckle a miracle? My favorite part of our yard is the long hedgerow of wild honeysuckle, blackberry and wild rose growing along the road. And the electric company wanted our permission to cut it all down? I think not!
I'm glad they had to get your permission. Is it because the trees might fall on wires? None of those you mentioned are big trees so I can't imagine what they were thinking!
Hi Nan, all of them grow up the tall trees that are in the hedgerow. And of course we give permission for trimming anything that might fall on utility lines, but they wanted to just clear out the whole area for us, have it be naked as a jay bird. And it offers us privacy as well as a place for wildlife, and is just plain pretty when things are in bloom.

I do wish we had honey bees, but we never see them. The honeysuckle was full of bumblebees. I love the idea of bees "sliding inside".
