    1. Yup! So do I. I've never had luck with either foxglove or snapdragons so I am happy to have them in my house.

    1. They are beautiful colors. Each week a slight change in blooms makes the colors different.

  4. So beautiful! We used to have a flower CSA. It was lovely though not quite as glorious as yours. But the old nun who cared for that garden died and no one else took it on.Sic transit....

    1. That's too bad that no one took over the care of the garden.

  5. I see you do as I do ... save the unfaded blooms and condense them into smaller vessels. I'm able to salvage blooms into the second week with this method. PS, I too love your header(s)!

  6. Gorgeous daylily!

I doubt if your CSA grower has another customer who appreciates their blooms as much as you and gives them such tender care. I have a feeling the stalks of flowers and herbs are happy to be in your home!

  7. Stunning flowers. We have few flowers here but we do have basil, which we've been enjoying. As we move into triple digit weather, it's hard to keep outdoor plants alive. Too darn hot.

    1. Dare I admit that I had pesto for supper four nights in a row?!

  8. Oddly I could not have told you what a basil flower looks like. It doesn't grow naturally here and I dead-head mine because I keep it (indoors) purely for using as a herb (and for making delicious pesto).

    1. There weren't basil flowers, just stems and leaves that I use in pesto! Those flowers you see are others in the bouquet. I dead-head mine in the garden, too. Doesn't it just have the best smell?!

    1. What a kind thing to say! The painting last summer sure made a HUGE difference!!! The inside is going a lot slower because we aren't hiring anyone to do it.
