Here are a few more than two sentences from Dan Brown's brand new book - The Lost Symbol. You may click on the picture for a closer view. It is the first page of chapter 42; page 169. Whew! What an adventure I have been on with Mr. Langdon. Addendum: I ended up quitting the book halfway through. It was fine. It was a good thriller. But I found I just lost interest.

I saw E.L.Doctorow interviewed last Sunday on CBS Morning News - at his lovely home and gardens with his equally lovely wife of 50 some years. He talked about this newest book, and I was eager to get hold of it.

Ann Marie, I think the writing is even better than in The Da Vinci Code - clearer, more precise. I feel like I'm on a roller coaster. :<)
ReplyDeleteHeather, thank you. I was reading it at the kitchen table this morning and the sun was on it (with a touch of shadow) and I thought, gee wouldn't that look good as my teaser. I'm off to look at yours. This is a very fun way to spend a Tuesday.
I just wanted to tell you that I think it's completely awesome that you did your teaser in visual form. I may have to try that sometime soon myself. :) Also, that header photo of yours is gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteI'm 13% through this book, having started it early this morning. As you can probably surmise, I am reading it on my Kindle. Liking it so far. I keep seeing Tom Hanks in my head!
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I saw the 13% I thought, I bet she's reading it on her kindle! :<) I am almost halfway through - judging from the way my bookmark is dividing the book - the old fashioned way of knowing!!
