I used a 7x11 pan and brownies seemed to come out fine. These are really wonderful brownies. Well, I'm not sure there is a bad brownie.
sounds good right now with some coffee...the wind is blowing, there's a nip to the air, and the leaves are turning...perfect food!!
ReplyDeleteMy brownie recipe is almost identical - except I normally use cocoa. I sometimes add chocolate chips. They're a favourite around here.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, Staci!
ReplyDeleteI have some cocoa versions, too, Island Sparrow. I have a lot of brownie recipes and have fun alternating them. :<)
So far I've copied your apple crumble recipe, and now this brownie recipe. MMMMM. I'm a chocoholic. And this looks sooooo good. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteOh yummmmm... that looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteBrownies sound good today. My family loved the apple crisp last week...I like it even better than pie!
ReplyDeleteSusan, there are some other chocolate-y recipes on the sidebar. I'm so very happy you are enjoying them. Thank you for letting me know.
ReplyDeleteKay, oh yes! and my son just took the rest of them home with him. :<)
JoAnn, I'm not a big pie fan. I mostly eat the filling and leave the crust. :<)
Nan, you do realize I shall have to do an awful lot of brisk walking now as like Oscar Wilde I have a problem with resisting temptation ...just be thankful you live a safe distance away or you'd never get two small girls out of your kitchen ...lol
ReplyDeleteTime to start baking again! I love brownies and blondies too...
ReplyDeleteVal, I'd love to have little ones around the kitchen again licking bowls and eating dough. :<)
ReplyDeleteMary Lois, what fun you'll have in your new kitchen!
I love brownies -- I have an addiction to them actually -- might need a 12 step group at this rate :-) These sound great!
ReplyDeleteThey were great, Marie!
ReplyDeleteThe epitome of sweetness...yum! Thanks for sharing the recipe. And your header photo is just spectacular -- those vibrant colours this time of year just rejuvenate a person, don't they?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteVery good brownies. I had an urge for chocolate and wanted to smell something baking as the evening drew in. These were not allowed to cool before they were set upon.
ReplyDeleteMorning's Minion, this makes me so happy!! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThese look so good and chewy/gooey in the middle!! Definitely a recipe to sample. Thanks, Nan!
ReplyDeleteThey were very good, Les. There are others on the sidebar if you want to try different ones and compare. I can hear Rod saying, what a good idea. :<)
