I do believe music is a form of poetry and my husband has often used it to explain metaphors to his students. I'm not sure, but I think he's incorporated Janis Ian's "At Seventeen" into at least one or two lessons. Thanks for the great post, Nan!Leshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08345657431432380804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6049626897935912366.post-88022988124090633792017-02-09T15:26:01.601-05:002017-02-09T15:26:01.601-05:00I'm so pleased you liked the music!I'm so pleased you liked the music!Nanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15547916206007733970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6049626897935912366.post-418960572320129522017-02-09T15:25:30.025-05:002017-02-09T15:25:30.025-05:00They are great, aren't they. I find myself stunned at times to realize the years have just flown by, it's a cliché and yet it's as if I walked through a door meaning to just come right back but when I did, I was thirty years older and time was a fingersnap. So strange. I know some people who don't save photographs, aren't sentimental, etc. but I like to honor the past as the story of who we are and how we came to be. I am going to come back and listen to each of these songs meditatively a little later.
