By the time I reached university in the mid 80's there were protests and letter writing campaigns being held by various student groups on campus and we were all completely captured by the bravery and significance of this one person in the fight against apartheid. He has been such a beacon of hope for his people as well as people around the world.<br />And at 95, I wonder what he would say about the present state of South Africa. <br />He truly represents one of the great people of our times.
