I've found people who don't like anything, people who only like Poirot, and others who only like Miss M. I just seem to have taken to everything. Yet there are many authors I read raves about, and I don't care for their work at all. :<)Nanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15547916206007733970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6049626897935912366.post-44628086003710567702009-11-16T14:46:21.190-05:002009-11-16T14:46:21.190-05:00This was my first Christie novel and I was really ...This was my first Christie novel and I was really saddened to find it a disappointment after loving her Miss Marple collection. Then I read Murder at the Vicarage and didn't like it either but I am not giving up...my next will be The Murder of Roger Ackroyd which I have heard is brilliant.Stacyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12387313238448432017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6049626897935912366.post-91848691609732016142009-11-13T10:22:06.536-05:002009-11-13T10:22:06.536-05:00Val, I've read a lot of criticism of the new C...Val, I've read a lot of criticism of the new Christie television shows (Marple) - that they really do change her work, and add aspects that weren't in the books. I've not been interested in watching. For me, Joan H. will always 'be' Miss Marple. I am quite new to the Poirot programs but each one I've seen has been quite a good adaptation. As well as the story and the acting, I've loved the settings, both interior and exterior. They bring the viewer into that world.Nanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15547916206007733970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6049626897935912366.post-55512060901421240212009-11-12T22:05:24.089-05:002009-11-12T22:05:24.089-05:00Lovely review Nan, I love David Suchet as Poirot t...Lovely review Nan, I love David Suchet as Poirot too.. he's become Poirot in my imagination now.<br />Sometimes the casting and script alterations that happen when Agatha Christie's work is bought to life can be downright bleak ..but that series hit's it beautifully...well for me it does ...lolValhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03003915263556622215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6049626897935912366.post-17500797198272010222009-11-12T16:22:58.852-05:002009-11-12T16:22:58.852-05:00April, what a delightful way to spend Friday night...April, what a delightful way to spend Friday nights! David Suchet is wonderful. I'm marking Dec. 18th on my calendar as that is when The Mysterious Affair at Styles will be presented.
