Love this! George Michael 💔 and Bono are so good! I went down a YouTube rabbit hole last week, watching this video, then the American one, then Northern Lights - the Canadian one. Then, 3 behind the scenes videos of the making of the Canadian one with David Foster producing. Thanks!
Oh yes, I had a young face then as well, which of course is why I didn't need to look at the list of performers at all! Interesting to note just how much diversity there is among those young performers, there are many reasons to be proud of them.
I think I still have a 45 rpm copy of this song in with old vinyl records, but even so, I can't believe it has been that long ago (the year after I graduated college). Thanks for the memories and I love your header picture. Your home is lovely.
I'll answer your comments as soon as I possibly can. Please do come back if you've asked a question. Also, you may comment on any post, no matter how old, and I will see it.
I remember this so well! Great voices and so uplifting. 80s hairstyles, though! Lol!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen a big relief concert in a while. They do Farm Aid each year, though.

Thanks!
I so enjoy those rabbit holes!
DeleteThis sure brought back memories. :)
ReplyDeleteAh, yes.
DeleteMy face was much younger then, too - I was 16 that year. Yes, those were the 80s - but I never managed the big hair!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I was 36!

ReplyDeleteYou are so right. Their earnest, hopeful faces. The part Bono sang kills me.
DeleteMaybe Santa should be closer to the chimney? :)
