  1. Love the new blog header. It must make you smile every time you see it.

The reading quote is very true. After spending time on the phone for hours this morning, I met my detective pal in "Wheaton, Mass," as he puts it, just in time to be involved in a shootout with two rogue cops and three Colombian drug dealers. I'm happy to report that all the good guys survived and I finished the book without suffering any gunshot wounds.

  4. So true -- My reading fell off a bit the last 6 weeks but, I think I finally got my routine back. (I'm admitting that I am a little grumpy lately though!)

    1. When all this kind of began, I read that Susan Branch was talking to her friend in England about the War. They had shortages, but also were being bombed every night! Kind of put this quarantine thing in perspective.
I'd like to know the name of the Churchill book. And how delightful that you are studying explorers!!

  8. Your heading is quite unique, and lovely too. Yes, reading is the best place to go right now. I am reading a journal of May Sarton. She had this old house by the sea and it is enchanting to be there through her book.

    1. I've read a fair bit by her, and like her. I read her "70" book in the year I turned 70.
