Quote du jour - Call the Midwife 2018 Christmas special

There are always angels everywhere. Perhaps we only think to look for them at Christmas when their wings can be seen, when their halos glow with light. But they are always there. There in the quiet corners, there in the shadows, there in their ordinary clothes and they are beautiful. Make room for the angels for they will catch you unawares and fill your heart in ways you never could imagine.

  1. I have recently started watching Call the Midwife and now I want to see the Christmas special. I am still in season one. I love your ornaments; I have the leg lamp but not the man. So funny.

    1. I kinda envy you with so much ahead of you. They are best seen in order. A lot happens. There are many changes.

  2. I don't watch Midwife but I do occasionally hear the rustle of angel wings and see the light of a halo. Then my heart is full of hope and love.

    1. I think it is the best program there has ever been on television, Les! I cry every episode, but I also smile and laugh. It is truly remarkable.

  6. Merry Christmas Nan! I love Call the Midwife. One of the best shows on TV. I love the time period and the music they choose for each episode is so well done. I cry every single time I watch the show.

  7. I saw a few scattered episodes by chance, some in England, some in Germany, and loved those bits - but somehow was never "hooked" enough to start watching it steadily.
The bit about angels is something my Mum could have written! Her maiden name is Engel (German for angel).

  8. My DVR automatically recorded the Christmas special and I just found it yesterday, and watched it. Such a wonderful program. I also cry, and smile, every episode. If something ever happens to Sister Monica Joan, I will be devastated.

    1. Me, too!! I love that character so much. And I do miss the one who did die - though I won't mention her name in case someone happens to read this comment who hasn't seen the whole series yet.
