  1. And as Tiny Tim said, 'May God bless us, every one.' Every single one. :-)

  2. Hazel is a beautiful child. I have no idea what those "things" in the basket are, and my copy of The Little Book of Hygge came yesterday; I'm eager to get into it.

    1. They are Octonauts. There are books and tv shows and little figures. All about creatures in the ocean. I've learned a lot! The hygge book is lovely - both in words and design.

    1. It came up the day after some other presidents I could mention so I'm counting on it tomorrow. ;<))

  4. Phew... what a day! Live coverage on TV here for hours and hours, but I was watching only for a few minutes, since it was our regular Girls' Night out.
I know you've talked about the Hygge book before, but now that I have seen it close up and discovered that the author's first name is almost the same as my own, I think I want it, too :-)

    1. I didn't see one thing! I noticed that about the name!

  5. The sun is shining here today and I plan to go for a stroll on our bike trail and listen to some music. I need to calm my heart and mind.

  6. I will have to check out the artist you were listening too. I haven't heard of her!

  7. Good books, family, good music, love..... we need these joyful things right now. Walking in nature helped my mental state yesterday .... my grands are too big and too far away for snuggles but phone calls to some of them and some of my kids helped a lot yesterday and today.. (and relieved Bill from the near-constant effort lately of talking me down and keeping me sane lately.)

    1. I love that you were in touch with so much of your family. I'm the 'Bill' in our house, though it doesn't seem to help Tom much.

  8. We really were on the same wavelength, Nan, and my how Hazel has grown. She is darling. I really do have a great deal of hope in our youngsters. That keeps me going.

    1. And we've both lived long enough to remember some bad presidents, Penny!

  9. We didn't watch any t.v., but we did install our Earth flag out front and a cynical new bumper sticker on the van. Life goes on and we do what we can. Meanwhile, I'm glad you had Hazel and hygge!

    1. I'd love to know what your 'cynical' bumper sticker is. I wish my Bernie sticker hadn't fallen off. I still have one on my front door, though. And my kids have one on their fridges.
