Today's picture/Writing Christmas cards

It is snowing outside the window as I write my Christmas cards. I feel like I'm in a movie.

  2. I second Sprite's comment! What a wonderful place to sit writing cards. And I like the soft light of your lamp - perfect. I love sending and receiving cards and hope that it's a tradition that goes on despite our electronic, wired world.
A beautiful Christmas,New Year, holiday season to you and your lovely family - I'd send you a real card if I knew an address as I feel I somehow know you. You remind me so much of some of my friends and feel that we would be friends too.

  3. Gorgeous, Nan. We're set to get the mildest Christmas day for years apparently. Much more seasonal where you are. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

  4. In my Vermont home I had an old table set against a north window with windows to the east at one side. It was a lovely place to think and write--by hand in a notebook, pre-computer era.

  6. Such a serene spot to write, and I like your Nativity on the window.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.

  7. Over here, it is going to be a green-brown-grey Christmas, I guess; not as beautifully movie-like as where you are!
I like the nativity figures on your window, what a perfect place for them.

  9. A Meg Ryan movie, perhaps? :) As I mentioned in last week's email, I haven't written Christmas cards this year, but your photograph is inspiring. Maybe I'll make time to do so, as I gaze out a window into the lush Oregon forest around my mom's home...

    Merry, Merry Christmas, dearest friend!

  10. What a lovely scene. Here in the UK we have storm Barbara blowing outside, sadly no snow, just rain and wind. I'd rather be in New Hampshire! xx
